{Northern Ireland: Day 6} Dunluce Castle

On our very last morning in Ireland, we woke up and visited Dunluce Castle  What can I say?  It was another perfect day.  With blue skies and warm sunshine.  We were in awe of this medieval castle.  We walked from room to room and just stood in wonder of the ocean views.  This place is the stuff of fairytales.  Can you imagine what it would have been like in it’s prime with furnishings and fires blazing in the hearths?  I wish cameras existed then, because that’s a scene I’d love to see.  I guess we’ll just have to settle on these views…

And, last, but not least… we drove along the coast, stopped to see some more ruined castles, and more beautiful ocean views.

We found a secluded harbor to explore and took a pause on the, softer than carpet, matted grass. I could probably have fallen asleep listening to the waves rhythmic crashing on the rocks below.  It reminded me a lot of Rhode Island in many ways.  My heart kind of felt at home.

I'm Rose. Nice to meet you! :) I'm a Southern transplant from the Northeast. I have two fur baby pups, Pippa and Watson, and the best partner a girl could ever ask for, Paul. I'm a believer of making the most of every moment. As much as I might try to slow down, busy seems to me my word. I'm a busy person, with a busy mind, and a ever growing list of things to do, places to go, books to read, recipes to make, and things to learn! I started this blog in the winter of 2013 as a way to allow family and friends {800+ miles away} to be a part of our lives. It's also served as a creative outlet for me to share projects, photos, travel, passions, thoughts, and a couple recipes. Being a first time home owner, we've been on a quest to transform our cookie cutter house into a home. ❤ I hope you enjoy this creative space.
